Fundraising

Fundraising is being undertaken in the public, corporate and private sectors as funding from government is not forthcoming for the Crag Walk Project or Naze Heritage Project and time is of the essence.

Naze Protection Society are a registered charity (No: 1064011) constantly fundraising at a local level. Public support for the NPS has enabled them to so far raise £210,000 (December 2008) towards the £1 million + VAT cost of the Crag Walk Project.

The NPS continually raises funds through the Society’s Charity Shop in Walton, events and donations. A big thank you to all our supporters and donors.

‘Save the Naze’ Charity Shop

Kindly run by a dedicated team of volunteers, the shop raises over £20,000 every year.

• If you are a bargain hunter - the shop to visit when you are in town!

• Recycle - any unwanted items always welcome - please deliver to the shop.

Essex Wildlife Trust

Essex Wildlife Trust is now the lead organisation in the partnership. EWT is an established and professional environmental charity that has experience in delivering projects of this type and size. EWT will deliver both Crag Walk and the Naze Heritage Project and manage the Naze Heritage Project. EWT are drawing up a Management Plan and Fundraising Strategy in order to action the projects.
